Multiplication Game Cards Finished!

Earlier this week I posted about my "aha" moment when  I realized that instead of using a lot of class time to teach a variety of math games for math workshop, I could just have the students play the same game and change out the content. To read the original post and download a freebie of some game cards click here.

I have finally finished the entire set of Multiplication game cards! 52 question cards, 2 game boards, kid-friendly directions, ideas for use, and an answer key! You can download from here (TpT) or here (Teacher's Notebook).

I would love to hear ideas you may have for other game card sets.

-Also-

Unless Teaching is now on facebook! I tend to avoid facebook, I haven't been on in months, because it drives me crazy reading update after update of the most miniscule details of people's daily life. However, I realized that facebook is EVERYWHERE and would be a great place to both get my information out there and learn more about what other people are doing. That being said, don't be shy! Click on over and like my facebook page! I am still trying to find and follow different blogs on facebook, so if you like me I will head over and return the favor.

-On a Side Note-

My church service was awesome today! It is important to remember that Easter isn't about a bunny hiding eggs full of treats. While that is a fun tradition, we have to remember that Easter is the time we celebrate Jesus and how he sacrificially gave his life for us. I hope you have a wonderful Easter and be blessed!

Multiplication Linky Party

Help Please!!!! Since I am a first year teacher, I am at a loss for even how to begin teaching multiplication which is extremely unfortunate since next week is the week! I know the bottom line is that they need to know their facts, period. But I really want them to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how it will help them. I have some students who really struggle with math and I know they will be drilled on facts at home but will struggle to understand the concepts. My school uses Math Investigations so the students will get to practice, work, and play with array cards. But I was wondering if there is any method, strategy, lesson, activity, game, flipchart, or website that you swear by.

If so PLEASE link up! - I can use all the help I can get.

Even if you don't have anything specific, I am eager to know what multiplication practice looks like in your classroom. As you may know (I posted here), we just begun math workshop in my classroom. So any ideas that you have for any of my stations (small group, game, computer, Promethean board, and independent practice) is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, I can't wait to be inspired by all of your wonderful expertise!

Please feel free to comment rather than post.
