My Data Wall

I had a question about what documents are on my data wall and I thought it would be a great topic for a post. We are required to have a data wall posted in our classroom, some items on the wall are mandatory and some are just teacher preference. On my data wall I have:
  • class vision & mission (created by the students as whole class)
  • graphs to chart class averages on unit tests in math, social studies, science, and language arts
  • quality student poster
  • quality teacher poster
  • GOTCHA stickers (rewards earned whent he entire class is on task)
  • our class goal and charting toward our goal
The students also have self smart notebooks (personal data binders). In their notebooks they have:
  • their quality student/teacher diagrams that they created with their group
  • our class vision/mission
  • our classroom expectations
  • the same unit test graphs but with their personal scores on the test
  • mad minute graphs to chart their progress on their addition/multiplication facts
  • personal goals and charting toward acheiving their goal
Below is a picture of my data wall. I will add an updated picture once my class creates our mission/vision, quality student, quality teacher, and class goals.

I am doing a data wall this year in my 6th grade classroom-I'm just going to put our class date each 6 weeks for our benchmark assessments on our reading comprehension skills.

I want to have my student also keep some type of data folder-could you share what your student/teacher diagram looks like? :)

We are a quality school and so I use a lot of quality tools in my classroom! I love consensograms! I had a data wall a few years back. I need to do one again, I just don't have a lot of wall space!! =)

Did you consider putting the data in a system, too? I mean, a data management system is good for backing up of those written document and files. Using technology as a tool can increase functionality and efficiency in the room. ;)
